MAKINGtheLINK

Classroom Delivery

We are inviting 60 secondary schools across Australia to deliver this MAKINGtheLINK in Term 3 or 4, 2026 or Term 1 - 3, 2027. Participating schools will receive free access to the program until the end of 2029.

Trial Research

We are gathering valuable insights throughout the MAKINGtheLINK trial by inviting school leaders, teachers, and students to complete brief surveys that help us understand how the program is being used and how well it's working. School staff can also choose to take part in interviews, offering a deeper look into their experiences and helping shape the future of MAKINGtheLINK. Ethics approval will be from Monash University and Department of Education in relevant states.

Funding and Partnerships

The digital version of MAKINGtheLINK has been supported by a four-year $1.3 million grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council to translate the original paper-based program into a co-designed digital platform.

Key partners include:

  • Department of Education
  • headspace
  • Alcohol and Drug Foundation
  • Australian Secondary Principals Association
  • Monash University
  • RMIT University
  • University of Canberra.
